Java problem using pogo games

Java seems to just connects to pogo games. I am not getting errors it just won't connect. I have installed the new Java program and have tested my computer to see if Java is working fine and it seems to be. I seem to have problems with Pogo games. I have tried the troubleshoot on help in pogo page to no remedy. To give it a nudge to connect I have to use my task manager and give firefox some help to connect. When I use windows explorer I have to use trusted site and manually keep clicking http://game3.pogo.com After a few minutes it seems to connect to the game but this is very frustrating. It's even worse using firefox. I hope I have explained my problem enough for you to understand. I have tried almost everything I can think of. It like a car won't start but tweak it and then it fires up after awhile

Thanks for the help ricky but I already tried that to no advail. Its sad that I have to open task manager to give it a nudge. It seems like it not loading the Java. Anything else I could do? Could it be in my isp settings to unfreeze it?

I hope somebody can help me. I just went out the other day and purchased system mechanic to see if that would help. I thought for sure it would. Nope.

    Lost in Canada someplace :)

    Thanks again

I was able to play Pogo games in Firefox with no problems until recently, now when attempting the popup opens with no problem and appears to be loading. Unfortunately, it never gets past the appears to be loading stage.

I received one error message referring Java, so I downloaded the latest version in case that was the issue, however still no resolution.

I have tried the suggestion of flushing the Java cache and removing the check from "keep temporary files" to no avail.

I have same problem, one day it was all working fine forever, and then it just quit working. No matter what site I go to using Java my browsers all close upon game load.

It seems like Pogo, needs to fix their problem as I did everything as well. I did tests, checks, and removed temps, cache's everything and Booom nothing. Always closes. I also went to pogo Sun Java and everything is fine so what's up????

I'm wondering if the KB963027 update to IE has anything to do with this? I have the same problem and had done all the known to me fix actions. However, I installed Firefox and voila, works there. /Roy

What version of Java do you have installed on your computer?
The newer versions of JAVA (post 1.7.0_14) have restrictive security and may be causing your game not to connect properly.

Go into JAVA management console

Start > Control Panel > Java > Security > Edit Site List > add the server for your pogo game

see if that helps

Try flushing your Java cache.

Start > Control Panel > Java > Temporary Internet Files (Settings) > Delete Files.

You might even try UNchecking "Keep Temporary Files on My Computer".

I cant get on pogo to play my games i downloaded java

It's a ongoing issue with Pogo and Java. Java updates quite often due to security issues, Pogo has a hard time keeping current with Java. You didn't post your Windows version? 32 or 64bit? Try installing a older version of java, this is the 32bit version, it works with some of my clients Pogo issues: http://www.filehippo.com/download_jre_32/10808/

I get as far as showing the POGO homepage, which uses Java, but the games won't load

Install the latest version of Java.

I play pogo games and cannot enter a room..says error in java yet it is installed

Im not sure what browser you are using but what i would suggest is un-installing java, via the add and remove programs and then re-install java using this link and try playing your game on pogo, If however it still does not work i would also try downloading firefox web browser. I hope this helps you.

Java problem using pogo games

This issue is caused by the security software on the computer. Most security software have features like AD blocking and Script blocking which causes this problem.
You can try turning off this feature in the security software. Alternatively there are couple of things that can be done.
For IE 6, goto tools manage add-ons and disable all the items except the ones which have the name Java or Flash or Sun Microsystems or Adobe.
For IE7, goto Tools - Advanced tab and click on the Reset button.
Or goto Tools – Programs tab – Click “Manage addons” and do the same as above.
