Sanyo DS24205 24'' TV Not Recieving Signals.

I have a Sanyo DS24205 24" tv in the guest bedroom that has only been used a couple of times. The other day I turned it on and a message saying 'Not recieving signals, Check connections and Press Menu". I have Direct TV and I know that the cable connected to the TV is Ok, but still the message comes up. Any suggestions?

I tried another tv on this cable and it worked fine. I also tried the tv on another working source with the same results. In setup, I'm not finding anything that will allow me to check the inputs.

Ok, cable connected is good. Can you move tv to another connection or run another cable from a working source. Maybe go into setup of tv and check input.

What does D03-1 mean

The TV has several inputs, Video 1, Video 2, HDMI, etc. One of the inputs is Digital. TV stations switched from broadcasting analog signals years ago. You may remember having to buy a digital antenna, or possibly if using cable or satellite service never knew it happened. You can press the input button on your remote until you see D03-1 on the screen and then do a channel search. You may pick up some extra channels that are being locally broadcasted for free in your city.

My sister has just bought me a Sanyo 26 inch TV (LCD-26XR9DA) but it won't pick up SBS and ABC jumps all over the place. I have an outdoor antennae and had no problems picking up the channels on my old...

Go to the TV setup menu and autodetect all channels. This should fix it. This is assuming your Sister is not using a set-top box.

In that case, you neet to leave the set on either channel 3 or 4, or use the video/audio input jacks and leave the set on VIDEO IN. The best picture with a non-HDMI set-top box will always be with the AV OUT from the box going to AV IN on the set [the white/red (audio left/right) and yellow(video) connections].

If she is using a set-top box with an HDMI output, connect an HDMI cable to the set and select HDMI IN for the absolute best picture.

What input did you connect the satalite to? Probably one of the 'video' inputs I'm guessing, which means you have to select that video source using the 'INPUT' button on your remote. (Some makers use different names but you get the idea)
Hope Ya Fix it!
