Burning cds fine but session will not close any idea what to do?

The most likely cause of this issue is that the CD drive has gone faulty so will require you to replace the unit

is problem with your cd/dvd drive try once to unplug and plug the drive in the notebook

Either the data cable at its back is badly plugged in (refit the data cable correctly) or the unit itself is faulty - replace it, it cannot be repaired.

you need to have software to do all of that like ROXIO or DVD FLICK--- you can download for FREE at WWW.CNET.COM >DOWNLOADS>VIDEO SOFTWARE>DVD SOFTWARE then choose FREE and be sure it is compatible with your OS

If the drive still will not read a CD, then likely an optics failure

The fact you have Windows already installed on this machine should indicate that the D drive was working before unless this is a new hardware? If it used to work before, then something must have attacked the system and corrupted it (virus or other malware). If your system is clean it could be just a hard disk error. You can run chkdsk utility by right clicking on the C drive, properties, tools and error checking option. Good luck.

if the usb ports are not working its down to a motherboard fault. cd/dvd roms need 12 volts and 5 volts to work if a voltage is not right it will give you code 19 to 25. have you had something short out on the usb side, i.e some device you have used in the past. usb stick tec. as sometimes it can blow a fuse on the main board, these can be replaced if you know how to solder and find the fuse that has gone.
