Just upgraded to Dish Hopper and Joey's. Philips TV on the Joey will not turn on/off with the remote & codes shown in Settings do not work.

not every remote is capable of controlling every unit via remote codes. however, there is a set up in the manual that takes time to use. basically you will use the output from one remote to establish the same output for the new remote. its a step by step process. try a universal remote such as theater master which allows you to use a computer to control functions by assigning them to certain keys. this will be far easier. the mx700 is a capable unit for complex functions on multiple equipment and has a screen to guide you during actual use as to what each key is going to do. you will set up the specifications yourself, such as channel up or channel down, or menu or guide. you get to use already established key locations or choose from 10 along side the screen to state whatever you want, and then after its set up, those buttons do the work you programmed them to do.
good luck
