Hello Without its remote control, you can't select its AV channel. Just try to get a new remote control or buy a universal remote control, which have setup codes for Duraband Tv with it. Setup codes for Duraband are: 0189 0135 0157
0153 0254 0458 0217
Direct Code Entry
Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
Sounds like a bad relay or power supply. WIthout physically checking out out there is no definite way to determine what the actual issue is. Try unplugging it for 20 min and seeing if it manually resets, if not it appears like a trip to the TV repair man may be inevitable.
Your issue will require some diagnostic from your local TV Repair Shop. In today's market, unless you find a repairman that does this work for a hobby, the cost of the parts and labor is higher than the value of the TV.
It may be in your best interest to research the LCD and LED TVs at your local WalMart/KMart/Best Buy.
Your color tube has probably went out that is why you have sound but no picture, you will have to call a tv repair place or where you bought it from to get an estimate on having it repaired
TV worked FINE for the past 2 yrs---this morning we woke up and the screen is totally BLACK! No sound..nothing. REmote doesn't do anything to the TV. Red light says ON unless we unplug it. Remote won't turn off the TV.
Any advise? Picture tube??
Worked great w/out any problems until we woke up today!
