My PC Does no recognize the camera and I can not upload the video to my pc

I have a GZ-MG255U and and running XP. My computer tries to run the found new hardware wizard with it every time I plug it in and it NEVER finds the driver, including when I've got the installation disk in the DVD driver.
Can you Help with these Camcorders problems?
