GENERIC HOST PROCESS FOR WIN32 SERVICES HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM

Hey guys i have a very serious problem, when ever i start my pc after a few seconds an error is showed,
''DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION''

''GENERIC HOST PROCESS FOR WIN32 SERVICES HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO CLOSE. WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE''

Then my sharing stops, audio mixer crashes and themes changes to classic view. The next thing i do is restart all these services again from services.msc, but after sometime they fail again.

I live in a university hostel and this problem is with all other people in my hostel. I tried ''WindowsXP-KB921883-x86-ENU.exe'' but this problem still remains.
Plz give me a permanent solution for this.

I guess it is a network virus! Repair your os, or reinstall it if needed , and do not share anymore or buy a Total Security antivirus!

This issue could be conflict of flees between HP software and the Operating System.

Disabling Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) in Windows XP will resolve the issue.

Please perform the below steps to resole the issue:

1. From the Window Desktop, click Start, and then click ControlPanel.
The Control Panel will open.

2. Double-click the Administrative Tools icon. The Administrative Tools window will

open.

3. Double-click the Services icon. The Services window will open.

4. Double-click the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) icon. The Windows Image

Acquisition (WIA) Properties (Local Machine) windows will open.

5. On the General tab, click the drop-down arrow in the Start-up Type box and select

Disabled.

6. Click Stop. A window will open with a message stating the service is being found.

When the message closes, verify the ServiceStatus displays Stopped. Repeat this step

if necessary.

7. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Read the Thread here.

Note:-
Generic Host Process for Win32 Services or svchost.exe is a legal and essential component of Windows which is used to host services which run from dynamic-link libraries (DLLs).

Please note that legal svchost.exe should reside in Windows\System32 folder and should not appear in startup list.

If it does appear, do a Malware/spyware/virus scan on your PC.

Generic Host Process for Win32

Hi

This may be because of the corrupt files or due to an virus infection, how ever you can fix this problem by replacing the corrupted files with clean system files. For this you require a OS cd. Follow the instructions below.

This process is called System File Checker(SFC)

1. Go to Start, then to Run, and type in " SFC.EXE /SCANNOW " ( only text in bold) press Enter.

2. This would ask you to insert the Windows XP / Vista Installation CD.

If problem still persists, feel free to revert back.
