SOURCE: Gas Dryer - takes to long to dry

Friend,
huuum At your service!

Sometimes this can happen when the vent line is clogged.

1. Check if the lint filter is full and needs to be cleaned.
Try this first. If the vent line is kinked or blocked
2. Then check if the outside screen covering the exhaust vent if this is even half blocked
with lint there will be no heat! This screen is to keep small animals out!
Try checking this and if it is clogged or the spring loaded door is stuck closed.
Try to clean the lint out of the corners of the flap door,
and or remove the screen permanently!
NO ANIMALS LIKE TO GET BURNT,IT'S HOT IN THAT TUBE!
Take the vent line off the rear of the dryer and try if it works. If it does you know it's the vent line and not the dryer that's the problem the dryer.

You will be fine
Bless You huuum

SOURCE: replaced high temp sensor on whirlpool front loader

Hi, Here is what is happening.

  1. Yeah fixed it by replacing hi temp sensor.
  2. Then sensor went out again.
  3. Reason there is another sensor that controls heating element. One is high temp, which controls the heating element from overheating. The other controls normal heating element temp range. What normally happens is the temp range goes out & heating elements overload the high temp sensor causing it to fail. Usually best to replace as pairs. Make sure your using the proper temp sensors as well. If you get temp range hotter than high temp results same problem.
Hope this cleared up your problem & fixed you for good. Please rate. Good Luck! If I can Help further please send comment.

SOURCE: front loader whirlpool dryer (04') 3-prong cord; 4-prong outlet..

No..you need to replace your 3-prong power cord with a new 4-prong power cord. The following link explains how:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r793520-3_prong_4_prong_power_cord_conversion

It is a requirement that newer homes have the 4-wire outlet configuration. If your home came with this style outlet, you must update the appliance to be within the National Electrical Code specifications.

The main difference is the way the Neutral (WHITE) wire and the Ground (GREEN) wire is installed. The neutral and ground are independent of each other in a 4-wire configuration. Simply put: Ground the green wire to the equipment cabinet or ground lug. Remove any grounding strap that is on the terminal block for the neutral wire. The instructions I provided will explain this.

If you have any questions, please ask. I hope this helps you.

Whirlpool Duet Gas Dryer Model GGW9250PW3 Only Heats after resetting power

Always first unplug the dryer from the wall outlet and then ohm test the thermal fuse, then disconnect the flame sensor and ohm test that, its located on the side of the burner tube. Remember no continuity going through it means it bad. Also, clean all the lent out of the dryer this should be done on a regular basis. I attached a website that has videos that will help you find the parts. I Hope this helps Tim

My duet dryer model GGW9250PW3. front loading, won't start.

It is probably the thermal fuse (start fuse) located on the blower wheel it's white about 2" long with two blue wires going to it. Try that first.

My front loader gas Duet dryer has left brownish stains

Sounds like bad drum seals. Check all the way around the drum at the wall for sections of seals missing or an uneven gap around the drum at the wall.

Hope this helps.

Duet front loader dryer

Check the lint trap and the vent. If the vent is clogged or crushed in anyway then replace it with a new dryer vent.
There reasons why a dryer will not dry clothes:
Clogged Lint Trap
Crushed or clogged vent
Last but not your issue, not getting and heat to the unit due to glow ignitor bad or no gas supply or bad gas valve.
So check what I told you and this should fix the problem right away

Whirpool GGw9250Pw3 no power on Control Panel Inside light works

In my case, the problem was a dead main board. The board cost $190 and the overall repair cost $335. I will never buy another Whirlpool due to this experience.
