Here is the link for the manual if you need it - ask again if you don't find what you need. http://audiovox.com/manuals/owners/VM951... Hope this helps :)

Sorry was a bad link should be:
    http://www.audiovox.com/

Click on Jensen, select multimedia, then select "older models" and half way down you will find the link to the manual.

It sounds like you may have a problem with the audio settings, or equally likely that the wiring was not completed when the unit was installed - did the headphones ever work? - if so - also suspect the wiring, probably where the cabling from the unit is connected to the car's system.

    Hope this helps more :)

INSTALL JENSEN RADIO vm9511ts

There should be a label with all the wiring on the player/radio itself.

Yellow goes directly to battery to hold memory
Red is for ignition switch to power on
Black is ground
Blue is not used unless you are power an amp or other accessory.

All other wires are for speaker wires.

You can get a quick connect harness so you don't have to cut your factor vehicle wiring. If you did do this already, you can go to installer.com to find out which wire is for what.

Jensen VM9510 Car DVD Player

try each of the four speakers independently. It's likely that ONE is blown (or has a wire shorted to ground) and is causing the unit to shut down.

Jensen VM9132 07' model

At audiovox.com has some upgrade files for the jensen vm9312 that is supposed to fix this problem. First you have to find the vm9312 and then click on software updates. Audiovox makes Jensen products i believe.
