Hi The range timer is usually located in the control panel on top of the range. If you suspect the timer is faulty, don't try to fix it yourself. Remove it and take it to a professional service person for testing. Here's how to remove the timer:

Step 1: Remove the back service panel to the control panel and release the spring clips that hold it in position, or remove the retaining screws.

Step 2: Push the timer forward to release it.

Step 3: Remove the electrical lead wires from the timer housing. If, when disassembling the timer, you notice that the electrical wire terminals look burned, remove these leads and buff the leads and the terminal points with fine steel wool. Burned and/or dirty terminals can cause the timer to malfunction, but a good cleaning can solve this problem.

Step 4: Replace the old timer or install a new one of the same size and type, if this is necessary. Connect the new timer the same way the old one was connected.

Oven heats properly, but the broiler element does not heat or even get warm. Controller lights up and says broiler is activated. Galaxy stove with ES100/105 electronic oven control.

Broil element can be tested with a meter by a competent service person or by yourself if you are handy. Be sure unit is unplugged before doing any service yourself. If element tests good, then clock / control will have to be replaced

Hotpoint oven won't heat above 250 degrees broiler works fine as well as the stove top

either its the oven sensor rod located at the top of the ovens cavity,or your bake element could be getting a hot spot which is when it gets a discolored spot in the element and can no longer pass sufficient current to heat the oven past 250 degrees

Oven will not heat up but stove top works

Hello there
Please read the entire solution to see which best decribes your problem ok
first.
If neither the oven nor the broiler heats, but the range burners still work, the clock may be set for a timed or self-cleaning cycle. Check to be sure the clock buttons and knobs are set properly. If your clock has a knob that says "push for man(ual)," push the knob in and try heating the oven and broiler again. If they still don't work properly, you probably have a defect in the thermostat, selector switch, or common wiring. Note… If the oven doesn't have a separate bake/broil/etc. selector switch, the problem is often with the thermostat. It's not easy to check the selector switch or thermostat for proper operation. If you suspect a problem with either of these,

GE Profile Stove baking option not working

Possibly the bake igniter, the temperature sensor or the electronic oven clock/control. Does broil mode heat properly or does it run cool also? If broil heats to the proper temperature then the temperature sensor is probably ok. That leaves the ignitor or the controller which takes some more troubleshooting. If it is the controller, we repair them at www.fixyourboard.com.

WHY WON'T MY OVEN HEAT UP?

Most modern gas ovens and many broilers use a "glow-bar" style of igniter that glows red-hot to ignite the gas. If the igniter doesn't reach the proper temperature, the gas valve won't open. You may need to replace the igniter.
