The sensing light comes on. the lid locks. It tries to start then nothing happens. the lid lock light then flashes and nothing happens. You cannot open lid. If you hold button a long time (more than the 3 sec recommended) eventually it will clear but the problem repeats. I tried various settings, even unplugging but no change
You need to get into diagnostic mode and check the error codes. This washer will give you couple of error codes but the first one is the latest. To check error codes

After calibration/resetting the codes, check error code again that will give you correct error code. If there's no error possible problem is the actuator.
