Kenmore 18.3 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator w/Through-the-Door Water Dispenser Logo

Dead refrigerator. Completely dead. Even lights don't come on. Wall plug is fine. Two days ago, electric company put a monitor on our electric meter. Tech had a problem getting it lined up and the power went off and on multiple times within less than a minute. May be a coincidence, but we think not. Never had any problems prior to this and had been working fine. Is there a reset button?

We weren't able to find a "Reset" button anywhere on the fridge, so I turned it off, unplugged it, waited 24 hours, and plugged it back in. The lights came on and I, then, turned it back on. It's working fine and keeping ice cubes frozen. Whew! That was a relief!

Thanx for your website.

Worked beautifully a couple of days ago. Now nothing works...it is dead. I checked the breaker but it did not trip. Flipped the breaker off and then on again. Still totally dead. What to do?

If not even lights are on, I would be checking to be sure there is power to your electrical outlet. Without model of fridge, it's hard to diagnose any further.

Got new battery 3 months ago. new battery is dead and wont take a jump. also can not put car in nuetral to push car.

It sounds like you have an electrical short someware in the system. You can check this by first disconnecting the negitive cable from the battery. You will need a meter that will measures DC voltage a multimeter works fine. Set the meter to 20 volts DC put one lead on the positive battery terminal red to the red and the black lead to a good engine ground like a clean spot on the engine block. If you read voltage there is something shorting to ground and this will drain the battery even with the vehicle off. The shift problem is likely related to the dead battery

MY LEXMARK X125 STOPPED RECIEVING AND SENDING FAXES. IT HAS ITS OWN LINE NOT CONNECTED TO COMPUTER. ALSO MY SPEAKER DIAL TONE IS NOT WORKING. WHEN CHECKING MY DRPD WONT SET UP EITHER. THIS JUST HAPPENED 2...

Hello. If everything else is working, printing and copying, unplug the printer from the power source. Check the telephone line from your phone company by unplugging the fax machine from the wall jack where it is connected to. Plug a telephone device straight to that wall jack and check for a dial tone. If there's no dial tone, contact your phone company. If there is, plug the fax machine back to that wall jack. You can also try replacing the telephone cable with a another known working cable. Plug the printer back to the power source. Check again. Hope this helps.

GHD30 dehumidifier completely dead

If any machine is completely electrically dead it is a sign that there is no electrical voltage getting through to operate it. Using an electric meter it is a relatively easy task to find the point of differential voltages which would indicate where the open circuit is located. The blue green fluid found is from copper oxide and is not necessarily indicative of a refrigerant leak. Oil present would be an indicator of a refrigerant leak.

Phone completely dead

This is a very odd problem with an even "odder" solution. When this happened to mine, I found a website that told me the following. I swear it works... eventually... probably.
Take the back off and just set it aside for a few minutes.
Now, remove the battery, and then put it back in, and then press the power button. If that does not do it, repeat the process...
... like 20 or 30 or 40 times. Eventually, the unit will make a (scary sounding) "pop" noise, and should turn on as normal.
I have had 3 Tilts. (I tend to be hard on phones.) Of those, two have had the "death" issue. Both were resuccitated this way, and worked just fine afterward.
Best of luck! Hope that helped. :-D
