On most of these ovens, you can either unplug the unit or flip the breaker from the main and keep it off for ten minutes, then either plugs it back in or turn it back on, and then hit and hold the start/cancel button on the control board for twenty seconds. Yu should hear a beep and then you should see the display light up and ask for you to set the time. If it does this, then the reset has worked. If so, put the oven into a self clean cycle and hit start, listen for the machine to come on, and about a minute later cancel the cycle and see if the door unlocks. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad door lock assembly and you will be forced to manually unlock the door.
To manually unlock the door, stick a screwdriver or heavy wire coat hanger in between the door oven and the door lock and see if you can disengage the door lock. If you manage to get the door open, leave the door open and put the oven into another self clean cycle. If after hitting the start button to activate the self clean cycle, you notice the door lock either not moving or getting stuck closed again you will need a new door lock assembly. If after hitting the start button, the door lock seems to be working fine, the door lock had probably shorted out during the cleaning cycle and looks to be okay now.
is the light oven on??? can you see the switch/button that the door would hit against to turn light off?? if so depress button so the lifht goes off, and start a clean cycle. This should make the lock mechanism engage fully. then cancel cycle and should fully disengage lock/latch (you need to depress light switch to trick unit into thinkin the door is closed)
The control panel lock has been engaged. This keeps the range from being used during cleaning; it also keeps young children or adults with dementia from turning on and ignoring the oven. For many Maytag double ovens, to engage or disengage the control panel lock, press and hold the upper oven Cancel keypad and then press and hold the Cook & Hold keypad button for 3+ seconds. The Lock message should be replaced by Off. Note: on some models, if the oven is in use, the control panel lock can't be disengaged. In that case, you need to shut off the power (at the circuit breaker) to the oven for at least one minute before restoring power. Then wait for the oven to cool (or at least one minute if the oven was cool to begin with) before attempting to disengage the control panel lock.
Please add a comment with the model number of your double oven if these directions do not work for you.
try turning off the circuit breaker, resetting the power sometimes trips the self clean latch to operate, youll need to push in the door light switch.(it will have to think the door is closed to operate)
most of the time a simple fix....

you have to trick the door lock mech into cycling through the cleaning process (takes about 20 seconds)
PrintRange - “LOCKED DOOR” flashes in the display
If “LOCKED DOOR” is flashing in the display of your range or oven, and the self-clean cycle has not been selected, follow the steps below to reset your control:
Motorized Switch
With the door open, locate the door jamb switch on the face of the oven. It will look like a small black post or dowel.
Push it in until the oven cavity light goes off, indicating that the oven believes the door is closed.
While you hold the door jamb switch in this position, complete the following steps.
Press the Clean pad, wait 10 seconds.
When the cycle initiates, press the clear/off or cancel pad immediately to cancel it.
Wait 10 seconds for the display to clear.
The door should unlock and there should not be a need for service.
Manual Switch
Press the Clean pad.
Close the door.
Slide the latch to lock the door.
Hit the cancel button immediately.
Unlock the door.
