My RCA450 universal remote control does not have a code search button

I tried the solution I was given on programing my RCA 450 universal remote control to my Goldstar television. The remote does not have a code search button so I tried the menu button on the remote... nothing happened, I then tried the input button to program the remote and still nothing happened. The light on the remote will blink but, the remote won't program. Please send me another solution. Thanks for trying so far.

The rca systemlink 4 remote is very good.it has code search and menue
try also the menue button on the tv itself

How do I program a universal remote to an RCA Model L32HD31R

This is the general setup proceedings to a universal remote control.
Direct Code Entry

Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

If you wish to get more setup codes, three digits, four digits or five digit ones, check this link. Pull up older posts there. Setup code list and setup instructions to some popular model remote controls are given. Select the 'Timeslide' option from the dropdown list by the 'Sidebar' of the display window. It will make search easy.

Direct Code Entry:

Find the code your device.

1. Press and hold "CODE SEARCH".

2. Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button. If programming an AUX position, press and release AUX first and then press the device type to be programmed.

3. Enter the 3-digit code number.

4. Release "CODE SEARCH".

5. With the device on, press another button to test (volume control/power button).If it does not work, repeat steps 1 to 5 with other codes which you have.

follow the below steps to set remote without codes

Code Search:

1. Turn on the device you wish to control.

2. Press and hold "CODE SEARCH".

3. Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button. If programming an AUX position, press and release AUX first and then press the device type to be programmed.

4. Release "CODE SEARCH".

5. Press ON/OFF repeatedly until the device turns off.

6. When the device shuts off press and release ENTER.

7. Try using the remote. If it does not function repeat steps 1 through 6
