Graphic importer missing - HP Compaq 8510p Notebook

I would convert the DVD files into files that can be imported into the software. There are plenty of free file converters to choose from. Just watch what you are download as they can have things in them that might change your browser etc. Always go for the harder options when downloading them. Never the quick options!

SYMPTOMS
When you start any of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, you may receive one of the following error messages:

One or more components are missing or broken. WMF graphics filter is missing.

Wmf graphics filter is missing.

CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Windows Metafile (WMF) graphics import filter is damaged or missing.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, rename the Wmfimp32.flt file:
- Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files or Folders.
- In the Named field, type wmfimp32.flt.
- In the Look in box, click Local hard drives, and then click to select the Include Subfolders check box.
- Click Find Now.
- Right-click the Wmfimp32.flt file, and then click Rename.
- Type wmfimp32.old.
- Press ENTER.
- Close the Find: Files Named Wmfimp32.old dialog box.
- Reinstall the program.

The recommended solution is to try and perform a repair installation for the software. Depending on your operation system (OS) the steps may be slightly different but the general steps would be to open Control Panel, find the Programs Listing, Select iTunes and perform a "Repair". This should detect and replace any missing files that may be on your system.

You need to re-install itunes

For missed tracks that needed imported to CD,go on the track folder and copy&paste.

reinstall the product.

I had the exact same problem and couldnt figure out what was going on...but I had a freak fix. I don't know how, but when I installed disc 4 (Picture It! 2000 Setup and Picture Disc) and disc 5 (Additional Art), I was able to access the program again. Hope this helps!
