SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Look on the card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.If the slide has broken off then the simplest fix is to get another card.

I have the polaroid i830..cameras locked i think

Remove the memory card from the camera (it is next to the batteries). On the side of the card is a little switch, set this to unlocked. You will then be able to write to the card again.

Sd card

Hey litbit3471,
What you most likely need to do is format the SD card. Directions on how to do this are on page 82 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual incase you need it. I hope this helps!

Polaroid i830

Sounds like a power problem. Recharge the supplied LiOn battery. Clean terminals and contacts with a pencil eraser.

If this fails, return it.
