I need a drive belt dagram for a husqvarna yth2348 hydrostatic
I need a diagram of how the belt is to be run and where the tension pulley/rod is located to install a drive belt on a Husqvarna YTH2348 hydrostatic riding mower. 48" deck and 23HP Briggs & Stratton engine.

Drive belt broken or slipped of pulleys, hydrostatic drive filter(s) plugged. Should be one or those, Roger. Follow the drivebelt with your hand (disconnect battery to be safe) and see if it hasn't slipped off the engine drive pulley, idler pulleys, or axle pulley. If you tractor is hydrostat, may be time to replace filter.
Are you referring to the "tension rod" on the mower deck? I think the rod you are talking about is number 114 on the diagram. Take a look at this diagram.
hydrostatic transmission there is only one throttle setting and that is WFO. if it is running slower than it used to, and the drive belt is snug, then you are looking at a failing transmission.
either the drive belt which connects the crank shaft pulley to the top of the transmission pulley has failed, or the hydrostatic transmission has failed. the first is easy to spot, a broken belt, and fix; the second problem basically means you will spend more to buy a new transmission than another mower will cost.
Check your tensioning bracket, when parked and engine off, lower the deck, look underneath from the left hand brake pedal side and work the brake pedal by hand take notice of the bracket with two pulleys mounted on it that move with the brake pedal being pressed and depressed, if you have vertical? up and down movement opposed to horizontal fwd and back movement your bracket mount and or bushing could be worn out.. Mine was, and after replacement it was like the day I bought it new. Hope you his helps..
Try pulling back on the left foot pedal. This manually adjusts the drive belt tension and is a sign that the engine pulley has worn to the point the belt looses traction. A local repairman told me this last week and mine works fine now although in the very near future I'll need to replace the pully. Good luck
The deck drive belt makes an L shape looping to the the outside deck pulley that has 2 pulleys. The deck drive belt rides on the top set. X = pulley engine x

l l
l l -
l l x x = outside deck pulley
back deck pulley =x
motor to idle to outside
motor to tension to outside back side of belt goes around idler
This is the most common belt to replace
