SOURCE: cleaning printer nozzles.

hi
I have been filling cartridges for appox 12 years.
Stand the cartridge in 2mm of nail varnish remover preferably in a polythene container.
Leave for 5 mins should clean it.
Still not clean?? Then remove label from top of cartridge this will expose the holes to each chamber. Introduce air into the chambers using a syringe without the needle attached. By forcing air into the cartridge will force the jellified ink out through the printhead

SOURCE: CLEAN INK PADS ,

The print head is integrated with the print cartridge itself. If your print quality is degraded, try searching on Google for a way to clean the print cartridge with alcohol. Or it might just be time to buy a new cartridge. In that case, do another search on Google and learn how you can earn money by sending in your old printer cartridges for recycling, instead of just throwing them away.

How to clean ink cartridges HP deskjet printers

You need the following items to clean the print cartridges:

• Distilled water (tap water can contain contaminants that
can damage the print cartridge)
• Cotton swabs or other soft, lint-free material that will not stick
to the print cartridge

Be careful not to get ink on your hands or clothing as you clean.

To prepare to clean

1. Open the HP Deskjet cover.
2. Wait until the print cartridge cradle moves to the
center of the HP Deskjet and is idle and quiet.
3. Remove the print cartridges and place them on a piece
of paper, with the copper strips facing up.

CAUTION: Do not leave the print cartridges outside the HP Deskjet for more than 30 minutes.
To manually clean print cartridge contacts

1. Lightly moisten a cotton swab with distilled water and
squeeze any excess water from the swab.
2. Gently wipe the print cartridge copper contacts with the cotton swab.

CAUTION: Do not touch the print cartridge ink nozzles. Touching the ink nozzles will result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

3. Repeat this process until no ink residue or dust appears on the swab.
4. Insert the print cartridges in the HP Deskjet, and then close the cover.

Ink is full but nib is faulty will pen writes? similarly cartridge refilled with ink but nozzles are clogged/blocked then print wont happen properly..before refilling the cartridge check nozzle status, clean nozzles properly then refill it. Remedy1:Take little warm water pour in small container dip nozzles in water wait some 2-3 minutes clean nozzle area with dry smooth cloth...try it till print quality improves..Remedy2: You can do clan/align process through printer drivers properties..

I had low ink and changed the ink cartage but i still can not print. also a light is flashing it looks like a tear drop. this is on a HP Deskjet D2545

Go in to your HP solutions center and click maintenance. Click on clean printer nozzles. If the printer was low for a while the nozzles may be clogged with dried up ink.

Green print

Try cleaning your ink nozzles or ink jets. It sounds like you have a plugged nozzle or two. Your printer program should have maintenance options that allow you to test for plugged nozzles and clean them.

In control panel, open the printing/fax icon, right click on your printers icon, left click properties, then on the bottom of the page the panel that opens you will see a button that says printing preferences, and that should open your print program.

This will work for all printers, not just hp.
