I am looking for the following parts for my Necchi 544 1967 vintage - made in Italy. Camstack 966509-2-00 and Drive Belt 726001-0-00 of 726-011-0-00 Please can you help?

I realise that they no longer make these parts but I wonder if you know of someone who has wisely stashed some in a cupboard somewhere. I am desperate to get it working again and therefore if you have secondhand parts or know where I might obtain them I would be grateful

  • if you can't find any parts on ebay, & you've contacted the above websites by email
give them a few days, some of them have a large inventory to check thru. any time
I've email them about a part they answered in a few days. they are the only sites I can think of that would have the parts, you might look on ebay for a sewing machine like your for parts that you could buy.

SOURCE: necchi sewing machine

i repair a lot of sewing machines as a hobby .. the necchi is one of the better ones .. they are easy to use and work well .. i almost always dontate the repaired machines to places like "womens shelter" .. "home for troubled girls" or just give them to someone that has nothing or cant afford new machines ... it sometimes makes a difference in their life if someone helps them get started .. modern machines vary from really cheap junkers that somehow work to really expensive machines that do everything but are completely out of reach for many.. the old necchis are better than many new machines but no one knows that .. so typically they sell for only $20 to $50 ... but if you donate a working machine to someone it can help, then its worth it weight in gold ..

SOURCE: My wife received a Necchi Nova machine as a gift

It is quite common for some sparks to be seen in the armature but id it is excessive you may need to replace the carbon brushes if you can get them

Testimonial: "I was wondering if that was the problem in that the brushes might be wore out. I had one of the screws out and found only a spring."

Necchi 4575 Sewing Machine. It has whirl noise but no movement.

Question edited for clarity and all the typos.
Question moved from Televisions to make model category.

The whirling noise is the motor. It may be that the drive belt has broken?

When was the last time it was professionally cleaned, serviced and timed? With moderate use, they need doing every 2 to 3 years. The inside workings of sewing machines are very tough and seldom 'break'.

Bought a necchi lydia 3. Does not run smoothly, seems to have hesitation. Cannot move stitch selector readily. Have no manual, so don't know where to oil.

These machines were prone to cracks in the bobbin case (which are exorbitantly expensive to replace) and sticky pattern camstack sliders. I would take it to a repair person familiar with the Lydia. I wouldn't spend much to repair it, as you could improve vastly with even an inexpensive machine from Sears. The new Necchi machines are Taiwan imports and are not related in any way to the old Italian Necchi machines.

I have a Necchi Lydia mk2-need to know what kind of machine it is I got it from a friend - this person did not know anything about it.The bobbin tension is too loose, and I think it has a lot more problems

If you have the white Lydia they actually have one in a museum as a design piece of the day, made in Italy in about the 60's biggest problem is camstack splitting

Can't get part and cam for Necchi Supernova Julia

Try the Necchi Yahoo Group. There are members who often sell parts and they also are very knowledgeable and helpful.. You should also try eBay. They have parts for lots of vintage machines. You may not find what you are looking for right away but look often as things show up everyday.
