Hi,
It would be uncommon for a laptop not to have a function key, Fn. This would be normally located somewhere bottom left of the keyboard often after the CTRL key and/or before the Windows key. Further, it is often required to press the Fn key + F? key where the F? would be one of the F keys with the small monitor icon.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
Ooopps, perhaps unknown to you, the rating you gave me brought my ranking down.
In any case, pls try lowering your Screen Resolution first as well as the Screen Refresh Rate. This could be done in the Settings tab of your laptop's Display Properties. Thereafter, pls try again the Fn + F3. You may need to cycle, in some models, the choices are laptop display, laptop + TV, TV only.
Should this do the trick, perhaps you will reconsider the rating; of course as you see it fit.
Cheers.
