if its a Kenmore model then this message says that the button control board has lost sight of the main control board , but its been my experience that this maybe able to be reset and it may never come back or it will not reset and the control board will need replaced (50/50)

After years of suffering from random F11 that became a permanent F11, I did the repair as in the video and all is good for 2 years. No more F11. About one load a day (we have kids!)
the error F11 is an error code indication of a water
temperature sensor error. There is a chance that there is a loose wire
connection on the water temperature or over flowing of water from the drum Gage.
what you are to do to fix up this problem of error is to unscrew (open )the washer trace the wire down to the sensor fix up the loose wire back to is position then clean up all forms of water you can see around the wire and the sensor (screen)please while doing this all form of power supply should be OFF , do not apply water or any form of liquid when cleaning the wire and also the sensor .

F-11 is communication error between the Motor control unit and the Main CCU. Either of these or both could be bad. Sometimes unplugging all the connections from the CCU (under top panel) and plugging them back in will fix the problem. If fixed, there's a bad connection at the CCU.
f11 comes up all the time and system locks
