I have an hp officejet pro L7680 printer and am having trouble finding new 88xl cartridges for it. Will the 940xl cartridges work in this printer

Hi there,
You cannot install HP 940 Cartriges for Officejet Pro L7650 as they are not compatible and the mechanism is different for both the cartridges,
In your printer, the HP 88 fits on the left bottom corner of the printer and the HP 940 cartridges are mounted on the Printhead inside the printer on HP Officejet 6500 AIO.

Hi

The printerhead is a different part from the ink cartridge HP 940XL which you replaced. you have not replaced the printerhead. --- it is not asking you to replace a ink cartridge.

this package contains both the black and yellow printer head

with a new one couse the old one either

hp 88xl is the extra large cartridge and it will be comptible with the colors cartridge but the black cartridge should go on the right hand side and the color will go on the left hand side
