My transmit/recieve quality seems to have been reduced following a couple of accidental drops. I am also having trouble recieving the local WX channel. Both of which were fine before the drops occured. Could I have damage the crystals in some way?
This radios has a Reference Xtal, dropping the radio, could cause that the xtal goes out of frequency, this means tha the radios has a frequency error and the range of opearatin seems to be reduced or even null. With out knowlegement and equipmente, there is nothing that you can do.

Thank you for your comment. When I contacted Cobra Electronics, they said the same thing & to ship the radio(s) back to them for repair.
