Hobart LXI you seem to know a lot about the hobart, maybe you can help me. My hobart Lxi high temp is just now out of warranty, i am mechanically inclined, and need to adjust my detergent and rinse aid pumps. How difficult is this and how can i go about doing so. Both the pumps are running too much product.

I have an LXI that displays E7 intermitently. I replaced both pinch tubes in hopes of clearing this. Is there any way of diagnosing the chemical sense board in the back of the dishwasher? The machine is recieving chemical.

I have a Hobart LX18C. New control board now turns on, but it says "18H" when it starts up and shows a P3 error code. I think it's confused because it's a C model (low temp) not H (high temp).

2 used LXi machines, they were power washed and stored. an electrician had to open the electric board (drawer) in order to hardwire machines both machines flash the "door open" (dr op) display.

there is a door switch (reed switch) located inside (I believe) the top right side of the unit and there is a magnet in the same place on the door that triggers the switch. If it isn't adjusted right it wont sense the doors are closed. Odd that both would be doing the same thing. Here are the parts diagrams. Reed switch part number 00-473109 http://www.hobart.co.kr/data_file/LXi.pdf

What does a P3 code mean? On a Hobart LXI high temp

P3 code refers to the probe near the airgap at the back. It is monitoring the rinse temp. P2 is the booser probe, and P1 is the wash tank. The control board will store error codes, so once changed, you can access the memory and clear it.

I have purchased a business - with a Hobart LXi - and no manual. I can't figure out what soap etc to use - or how it gets into the dishwasher!

Contact your local chemical supplier such as EcoLab or AutoChlor to purchase the proper chemicals. Use ONLY commercal dish washing chemicals. Residential detergents like Cascade do not dissolve fast enough and WILL, in time, cause you trouble if used in the LXi.

There should be three colored plastic tubes at the rear of your machine. Red is to be put in a container of liquid detergent, Blue is for rinse aid, and white/clear is for sanitizer. Your chemical salesman should be able to show you how it's done at no charge.

You may also want to register here http://www.hobartservice.com/Manuals/ then download the manuals for the LXi dish machine.

All the best.
