Belt came off?? see We fixed our dryer!! so happy!! First We ordered the dryer belt with part # Samsung Dryer Belt 66002-001655. I got it off Amazon at a good price $11-13 at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KGX...THANK GOD we ordered it just in case because it turned out the belt had NOT slipped off but was SHREDDED apart. The BEST ADVICE to this particular model Samsung VRT steam dryer DV419AEW came from a commenter to another thread . He describes how you take apart this particlar model. I also watched the youtube video on belt placement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obaoSDbzY... This shows how to place on pulleys etc once you get belt around the drum.

Maybe the heat in your dryer over time has melted weak glue and loose components are hitting against the drum

Tools needed to solve the problem

(A)Standard screwdriver,New belt.

1 Unplug your dryer to disconnect power to the unit.

2 Remove the screws that hold the dryer top in place using a standard screwdriver. The screws are located along the top and sides of the dryer. With older models -- 1996 and older -- the entire top comes off the dryer. For new models, the timer and console stay in place while the rest of the top comes off.

3 Remove the screws that hold the front panel and door in place using a standard screwdriver. The screws are just inside the door at the top front left and right sides of the dryer. The front panel on older models will move to the right side and on newer models the door will move to the left.

4 Remove the existing belt by pulling the idler pulley to the right. This will take the tension off the belt and allow you to pull it away from the motor pulley.

5 Install the new dryer belt by wrapping it around the top of the drum and allowing it to fall around the circumference of the drum. The grooves of the new belt should face down toward the drum. Rotate the belt around the drum to ensure there are no twists in it.

6 Connect the new belt to the motor pulley. On newer models you can access the motor pulley on the front underneath side of the dryer. Pull the idler pulley to the right and loop the belt around it. On older models you can access the motor pulley through an access panel on the back of the dryer. Pull the dryer away from the wall and remove the access panel using a standard screwdriver. Repeat the same steps as on a newer dryer to install the belt around the motor and idler pulleys.

7 Replace the front panel of the dryer and the screws that hold it in place.

8 Replace the top of the dryer and the screws that hold it in place.

9 Plug the dryer in and make sure the belt works properly before trying to use the unit.

The problem is likely the dryer belt . Here is a video on replacing a dryer belt. It may be a different model but the process will be the same. You can also enter in your model # for diagrams and illustrations. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.

Are you sure that you hooked the belt up correctly, as it sounds like you may have missed the tensioner pulley. As this will tighten the belt around the middle of the drum

most likely its the pulley wheel that the belt runs on is going bad. easy to replace just a bolt holding it on.

The belt you will need for that unit is part # 341241. These belts will fit almost all Whirlpool and Kenmore models except for the DOTT (Dryer Of Tomorrow, Today) dryers. A DOTT dryer is a Kenmore model only, and has a front kick plate and the lint filter in the door.
