Can it be a fuse why the car won't start

I have a 97 buick regal gs and it won't start but all the lights comes on & the horn works. When I turn the key to crank the car all the lights cuts off & it don't make no noise, everything shuts down. Can it be a fuse that is stopping it from starting?

SOURCE: 1999 Buick regal Security light on. Won't start.

I had the same problem with my 95 Lesabre. The owners manual says to take the key out, and wait 3 minutes(until the light goes off). It should fire right up.

SOURCE: 1999 Buick Regal GS key problem. Can't get key out of ignition

its the button on the shifter, sometimes it doesnt contact the key unlock solenoid. all you have to do is turn the key to on position, (not start) press brake, and push the button on the shifter, youll hear a click in the ignition. then key will come out

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

SOURCE: 98 buick lesabre limited, horn started honking

sounds like you have a short in the horn wiring or a bad ground wire these grounds are mostly located under the engine compartment near the back wall whitch is called the fire wall or beside the fenders

I have a Buick Regal 98 car that want say anything when starting, and the head lights, radio, horn and windows not working.

No radio, no lights, no start = dead battery. Even with key off, lights should come on if battery isn't dead

The power distribution center under the hood. The cover of the distribution center should have the fuse and relay locations marked on the underside of it.

Horn not working on 2002 Buick Regal, check fuse and that's not the problem. Any ideas???

you need a test light to see if there is power and earth going to the horn when the switch is pressed,, if the live and earth are present you need a new horn if they or one of them are missing you will need totrace back from the horn to find either a broken wire or a faulty switch ,,, hope this helps

Somehow the horn has been disconnected or is there a fuse? It does not work.

Yes there is a dedicated fuse for the horn. The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To ease your search the horn fuse it should be around 30 amps.
