My front load washer (Bosch 100 series) will not drain fully or spin. I think it was my fault, I had inadvertantly bought non-HE detergent and probably had too many suds. My husband took off the cap on the front and cleaned that out (there was some jewelry in there, but nothing big) and that did not solve the problem. Water goes in and out (I can hear it) but a load of laundry will remain dry on the top, indicating the machine never spins. I can easily manually spin the washer, and it does not make any sound when I do so. Help!

Get the pennies or dimes out of the accordian style black hose at the bottom of the washer. You will need to lay the washer against something so you can get in from underneath. Take a plyers and squeeze the medal clamp so the hose can slip off. I found 3 dimes that acted like washers. The machine will drain.

All the things that greendude said plus check the seams inside the drum as if these have even slightly parted it could cause the leak you're describing. Good luck.

You first of all need to check the pump filter.
This should be located at the botom front right of washer.
Look for a drop down flap or cover, once located, unscrew filter anti-clockwise to remove and clean.
The pump itself is directly behind the filter housing, check there is nothing stuck in the housing.
This should solve the prob.
Please leave feedback for my solution.
Thankyou.

Hello and welcome to fixya.
I`d suggest removing the back panel and inspecting if the belt has perhaps come off.
**Unplug the unit from the wall first**
If so, put the belt around the motor pulley and start it around the drum/drive pulley. As you hold it in place spin the large pulley and it should go back on, careful not to pinch your fingers...ouch :(
Let me know what you find out or if you require further assistance.
If this indeed solves the problem please take a second to rate my solution accordingly.
Thank you for choosing`"fixya" and good luck.
