Open Question

Almost every night between 11:10 pm - 11:15 pm the light that signals line in use etc, will come on for 1 - 5 sec and then go off. No one is on the line. What is happening. I cannot change any batteries and I have unplugged the phone and then plugged it back in as Bell has suggested. What is happening?

No ring on lines on extension 11 and 12. How do I program to ring?

Hi,

Please follow the steps given below

To set distinctive ringing

1. Press #9876 to enter User Programming Mode

2. Press a Line or extension button. The LED is steady green.

3. You can press Hold to switch between internal and external pitch.
(Internal = station calls within your system; external = outside line calls.)

4. Enter the two-digit pitch number (see table)

5. Press the same button that you pressed in Step 2 (Line or extension). Two beeps is a confirmation tone and “DATA PROGRAMMED” displays on your LCD.

I have 3 lights and want 1 light to come on for 15 sec and then off and another 1 to come on for 15 sec and then off and then the last light to come on for 15 sec and then off and start the process all...

Intermatic 70815CR
30 amp max, selectable voltage 120V 240V etc.
You want to control 3 separate circuits.
So you need a timer with minimum of 3 independent relays.
Each circuit has a different program.
So you need a 3-channel timer. Each channel is programmed separately to operate a different relay.
You want timer to operate in 15 second intervals. Most electronic timers have minimum 1 minute on-off, so you need electronic timer with pulse capability.

My siemens LCD monitor back light turns off after 1 sec

You need to check out caps in the power supply section first, then check the backlight inverter circuits for bad fuse, transistors. It can also be bad lamps. See example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Check in the Display Settings of your handsets. There you can specify for how many Seconds you like to put ON your handset's LCD Backlight. You can customise it for 5 Sec, 10 Sec, 15 Sec, 30 Sec, 1 Minute, etc.

Wireless router looses connection from 9:00 PM to 7:00 Am everyda

what channel are you running the access point on? The only thing i can think of is that some wireless interference starts around that time of night which wipes out your wireless sign. Changing the channel may help (but change it to some atleast 5 above or below the current setting as the channels overlap).

I can't get on line

A blinking DSL light means that you have no DSL sync -- you are not receiving a digital signal. You will need to contact your ISP to have them repair your service.

Steps to do first:
1. Powercycle the modem -- unplug the power from the back for 15 secs, plug it back up.
2. Ensure that all phones that share a line with the DSL have filters attached.

YAMAHA CRW8424 gives Track following error..

PROBLEM DEFINITION: Basically, it is a hardware error that occurs when a drive is not capable of following a data track on a CD-R or CDRW or on the other hand, poor power flow may cause the problem SOLUTION: 1. Try use another disc, a disc with a different band. 2. If one doesn't work, you may have to open your system and use a different power connector, making sure no other devices are using the power connector in the same strand. 3. Lastly, if neither the above doesn't work, you may have to send your drive in for servicing as the head may be dirty or misaligned.
