Hi, Wii has worked fine for couple of years, just the other day when i insert a wii disc now it takes it in, spits it back out about half way, takes it back in and then spits it out all the way. Any idea what is wrong and how to fix it ? It is not under warranty and i have not chipped it or done anything of the sort. It is a white wii and in same condition as i bought it. Thanks

SOURCE: Wii disc won't insert it
Hi
there From
what you have said it sounds like you have the DISK DRIVE READ ERROR The
main cause is Hardware failure due to overheating or just simple wear
& tear.
You
will need to perform simple maintenance to your console You
can send your Wii to Nintendo to fix this. If your in warranty its
free. If not the repair cost would be $150 and a wait time of 4-6
weeks The
other solution is what I did and the way more and more gamers are
turning nowadays is a Good
Wii Repair Guide that shows you how to fix the problem yourself.
I have never had a problem with this one so far for over a year, well
worth it. Its my most recommended guide online. Well
this is all the help and advice I have on this so good luck. You
can get back to gaming Please
come back and rate my post if you find it useful Many

Check your waranty but I believe by now it's void.
Get some canned air inside of it and blow it out. If you were agressive with putting your game in, the feed could be damaged. It's a lightweight material that would break before it bends; if you have any small kids who could have even potentially (hit it, dropped it, misused it, (not limited to one)), there could be something wrong.
Best thing to do is clean it. I personally think your disc feed is damaged.
Open it up (if you're out of waranty) and clean off the lazer and anything that looks dirty. Use a q-tip for the lazer but be careful because it's very sensitive.
I'm very sorry your wii doesn't work and I hope i've helped you resolve your problem.
Good Luck!
