Hi, My Fujifilm FinePix A800 is not displaying any image when i am trying to take a snap. I can see some shadows of the object but clear picture. I tried viewing the snaps on computer but same image. They are all purple in color and slight shadow of object is seen. Also i can view old photos on the camera only. Are the Lenses or sensor of the Camera damaged.... please help

I found the solution to the problem. Connect the camera with the cord supplied. Do not open Finepix. Open Photoshop if you have it and go to file>import>via f31 or f30 and choose the pictures you want to import. Done !!!!!

You have over exposed pictures due to the shutter sticking.
The video is the clue to the problem. It doesn't use the shutter.
Shutter needs to be cleaned. This is no easy task im afraid
Testimonial: "Thanks, Dave, that's useful, will try clean it,but still think it must be something more, electronical, in the data transfer from sensor to card."

I think there is a small button on the back of the camera near the bottom that turns the viewfinder off and on I think. It should be in the manual.
It might have gotten bumped while in the bag.
SOURCE: turn on camera..view finder and/or display screen
The s7000 has three different display modes: Screen, viewfinder, and off. Screen is for looking at the big screen, viewfinder is for looking through the digital viewfinder, and off should turn off all the displays. Try pressing the DISP button once. That should reactivate the screen and make it possible to use the camera again.
