Get the esp 2170 to not print light green instead of black ? I keep on replacing cartridge , to no avail !

replacing a cartridge, while the nozzles are blocked won't help.
Realise the printer will mix there colours to get "black" on the paper. So even a full cartridge, can't make the other colours black till the blockage is gone.

Please try this. If you have ink cleaning fluid, (only for printer ink) use that, if you dont have cleaning fluid, use clean water.
Open the printer as if you replace a cartridge. Remove the black one and look tot the bottom of the cartridge holder. There is a little pipe, where the ink should go in. put some drops water or cleaning fluid in there leave it a few minutes. with a tissue dry it and again insert some drops of water or cleaning fluid. Then put in a cartridge and give the printer a black and white print job. Like print a few A4 papers. Let it print till the black comes back. Can take up to 4 pages A4. I hope this will unblock the nozzles.
Please even if you don't need to print, switch the printer on at least once a week. And even better, let it do a bit of printing every week. This will save a lot of frustration.

Faint & White Lines in Printer Head Alignment

This sounds like you are using either a refilled cartridge or an after market cartridge and the ink is clogging the print nozzle. To clear the problem you need to insert an OEM cartridge, run the deep nozzle cleaning utiliity, alignment utility. This should clear up the problem with the spotty printout.
Let me know if this solves your problem otherwise we can explore other solutiions.
Please rate this solution. Thanks.

Printer is refusing to print colour, with full colour ink tank.

Have you checked the ink levels in your cartridges? Ink can dry due to usage and also due to prolonged non usage.

Blank Ink not pumping to print head

Turn off the device after removing the printhead After removing the printhead, turn off the device, wait about 20 seconds, and turn it on again without the printhead installed. After it has restarted, reinsert the printhead.

it will go through this long routine of perhaps 20 min or so. after its compleate it should print great.

Printer prints in color but has gaps

Have you tried a new colour cartridge? This is a classic sign that the cartridge may be low on ink. When printing text, assuming you are printing black, it is likely that the black cart is doing most of the work so the gaps are insignificant. You could try printing text in several different colours. If the colour cartridge is low, you'll find that some colours may be ok but others may have gaps.

Best to try a new cart if you have one.
