Wont turn on for a week

why wont my ematic mp3 player turn on..?

theres a slim possability if it was turned off when it went in and if you left it out to dry for a couple of days or a week before you even thought about trying to turn it on maybe it will work

Press the restart button on the bottom right side of the player. Then try to start it, it should work.

same thing hapended to me . I pluged it in to pc to see if that would help or give a sulution and after a few i took it of and it stoped

It sounds like the device is defective..Please call sandisk so they can setup a RMA return for you..

Try a firmware upgrade.  I'm trying to look that up right now so that you don't need to thumb through the garbage. everywhere i've read about malfunctions takes an upgrade but still crashes days or weeks later.

take it back. it is not worth the trouble if you've only bought it for a week.
if it is a lion battery like the creative mp3s, then charge it for at least a day to begin with.

get a new mp3

Only 2 suggestions here: 1) Make sure your HOLD switch is not enabled. 2) Try to update the firmware If neither of these work, time to send the unit back to Sandisk

My daughter's Zune went through the washing machine and dryer in May 2008. I checked the internet & it looked pretty bleak. I couId see water inside the screen area & it would not turn on at all. I decided to just leave it sitting on the counter for awhile instead of just throwing it away. Three weeks later I tried to turn it on & got a low battery display. We plugged it in, charged it and it has been working ever since (it is now August 2008).
