I would be happy to help you get your DISH remote addressed to your
Samsung TV. There are many different codes for each of our different
models of remotes. The model number of your remote will be located on
the back of the remote at the top, usually a two to three digit number. I
will list here for you the best codes for each of our different models
of remotes and also the instructions for addressing the remote to the

3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.4 IR remotes - codes 680, 738, 516, 655, 667, 833, 897, 500.
5.0, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 IR remotes - codes 738, 516, 680, 522, 664, 833, 755.
4.0 and 4.4 IR/UHF remotes - codes 738, 516, 680, 667, 833, 858, 897.
6.0, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 IR/UHF remotes - codes 738, 680, 516, 505, 755, 833.
20.0, 20.1 IR and 21.0 21.1 IR/UHF remotes - codes 680, 738, 601, 833, 516, 794, 858, 684.
Instructions
1. Press and hold down the TV button until all the lights light up on the remote.
2. Enter the 3 digit code for you TV.
3. Press the pound(#) button once.
4. Test the functionality of your TV.
Another option to try is a power scan. Sometimes this can find the proper code for you. I will list here for you all the proper instructions. Let me know if you need further assistance if this does not work for you.
Instructions for running a power scan
1. Press and hold down the TV button until all the lights light up red.
2. Press the big red power button once and release.
3. Press the up arrow button once every second until your TV turns off.
4. As soon as the TV turns off press the pound(#) button once.
5. Try to turn the TV back on using the DISH remote and test the other TV functions.

Hello Cheri i have a 5.4 remote and i have tryed all the codes with no luck.
The funny thing is that the same thing hapened with my old remote, all of a suden stop turning the TV on or off and no control for the volume. so i bought a brand new same remote and is giving me the same problem.... Could it be the Dish receiver doing something funny?? i mean two remotes doing the same ???
Any further help will be greatly apreciated!

I tried the power scan, did not worked, i have tryed everything, i think it has to do with the satellite reciver, because the same happened with my old control, bought a new one and is doing the exact same thing..... Any other ideas?
