When you open the door the light doesn't come on and the dryer doesn't stop running. Changed the light and still doesn't work.
The image below shows the wiring diagram for your model of dryer. The door switch is shown in the closed position. When the door is opened, the contact is broken that completes the neutral circuit through the door switch. (I am not showing that your model of dryer has a drum light. If it did, then the drum light would illuminate when the door is opened.) Based on your symptom, a bad door switch is apparently causing this problem. It is not breaking the neutral circuit to stop the motor from running. Replacing the door switch assembly should fix this problem. NOTE: Be sure to unplug the dryer before accessing any internal components.

you can take the top panel back off and check the start button with omes meter,push button in you should get a reading,let button out no reading ,if it fails the test replace,let me know what you find

There's a switch behind the dryer door. Push it in and out with your finger, you should here it "click, click, click" and the light should go on and off. If it doesn't, you'll need to replace the door switch.
If that's the case, I'll need the full model number. It's on a sticker on the front panel behind the door. (it should be like three digits, decimal point and about 7 more numbers... 110.*******) With that number, I'll be able to look up parts for you and guide you through this easy repair.

2 more things could be wrong,check the blower box to see if you have a thermister thermostat on it,check that with your omns meter,the other thing is the motor is no longer strong enough to turn the drum and it heat up and tips off,let me know what you find-mike

Door switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. the belt broke,you can buy a kit with the belt,rollers and pulley,change out everything and you'll be good to go.next time send the model number.good luck.while you have the dryer apart,vac out all the dust and lint and if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow the motor out and clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into,also if your vent line is a long run remove it from the back of the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower if you have one.
