I have no way to connect to the granite counter top. Can it be mounted to the side cabinets?

Need prefix for model number. Need complete model number. I believe that the numbers that you have given are stock numbers from your user manual. Kenmore can be several different manufacturers. Some brands have kits to mount unit from the sides using brackets at the top. If stainless steel tub, look for removable plastic caps on the right and left sides of unit. These holes would be used for installing bolts into cabinet. If plastic tub and no kits are available holes can be drilled into sides to secure unit to cabinet. As long as heads of bolts(screws) are flush to allow door closing, unit will not leak because of tub(door gasket.

How do I properly secure the dishwasher to the cabinets so it does not move when I'm unloading it?

The feet should be properly leveled and either secured from the top to the counter top using 1/2" screws or in the case of granite tops use side mount brackets and pre drill holes in the cabinets to prevent splitting. The side mount brackets usually come with the dishwasher but you might need to order a set. How to install the lid on a Kenmore ("Kelvinator") washing machine model 417.44142400, serial XC 44406838 after unstacking the dryer? (We have the lid, the brackets, and the screws. We just don't know...

See the Sears parts site for your washer:

If you look at the section / diagram of the cabinet, you should get an idea of how / where the brackets attach.

The door spring on my Kenmore Limited edition 8542516 broke what part do I need and how do I fix it

door springs usually don't "break" they iether get stretched over time or come off their mount...

springs are adjustable and can sometimes be set to a tighter tension without pulling the unit out but that may be necessary... they are generally located on both sides of the unit near the floor and can be accessed by removing the kick plate.

If the spring came off it's mount then you'll need to pull the unit out and put it back in place... there will be a bracket on the door itself with a hole to put one end of the spring and a jagged notch on the chasey to hook the other end and adjust tension...

If it's actually broken then you'll have to get a replacement spring and install as above.

Looking for manual on how to install kenmore elite Micro/ hood combo under cabinet, not sure if I have all of the mounting bracket needed.

You can just enter your full model number at the Sears parts site.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

On the resulting page, look to the right for the blue "View manuals" button. Click there.

That Sears-related site has many free manuals. While the manuals they list there are all free, they will ask you to register.

Many times, the owner's manual will have the installation instructions inside.

If yours is not listed there for free, you would have to order it through the
Sears parts site.
