SOURCE: i change flex sony ericsson w380i then the unit

maybe you are not doing it correctly, to avoid more complication and expenses, let the right technician do the job, the way you do it, instead of saving some laboe fee, it turn out to be more expenssive because you need to buy another flex to get it done

I have Samsung UN65NU8500FXZA Which is not working.

Based on the symptoms you described, there could be several possible causes for your Samsung UN65NU8500FXZA not working properly. Here are a few potential explanations: Main board issue: The main board is responsible for processing and sending signals to the TV's components. If the main board is faulty, it could cause the TV to display abnormal behavior, such as not turning on, blinking lights, or no picture. You may want to consider replacing the main board to see if this resolves the issue. Power supply issue: The power supply is responsible for supplying power to the TV's components. If the power supply is not working properly, it could cause the TV to turn off or not turn on at all. You can check the power supply unit for any visible signs of damage, such as bulging capacitors or burnt components. If you find any, you may need to replace the power supply unit. Flex cable issue: The flex cable connects the main board to the other components in the TV. If the flex cable is damaged or not seated properly, it could cause issues with the TV's display. You can check the flex cable for any signs of damage or looseness. If you find any, you may need to replace the flex cable. Backlight issue: The backlight is responsible for illuminating the pixels on the TV's screen. If the backlight is not working properly, it could cause the TV to display a dark or black screen. You can check the backlight for any visible signs of damage, such as dark spots or flickering. If you find any, you may need to replace the backlight. Based on your observations, it seems that there may be a problem with the main board or the flex cable. You may want to try replacing these components to see if it resolves the issue. However, it's always a good idea to consult a professional technician if you're unsure how to proceed or if you're not comfortable working with electronics.

Hello Was hoping to get a video on how to

First, a freezing problem or lock-up during boot-up has nothing to do with the LCD display. If the screens shows a graphic, such as the Garmin logo and without lines or splotches, then the screen is fine. Lock-ups during boot-up are caused by corrupted firmware or maps or a corrupted flash drive. All of which can be resolved without taking the unit apart. The battery has nothing to do with it either. If the unit locks up while connected to the car charger, then the battery is essentially being charged and not powering the unit. I can't see your board but if you pulled the ribbon out of the board, you may have damaged the locking latch that holds the ribbon in place. The locking latch is a thin white or rust-colored strip of plastic on a hinge. That hinge should be up when sliding the flex cable into the connector, then the locking latch is pushed down toward the flex cable until you hear it click. The flex cable should be secured at this point. If you have busted the locking latch off, it is game over for your Nuvi. More info on booting issues can be found here:

Lumia 920 repair

Every cell phone I've seen uses some sort of connector for the flex cables. There are three main types. One of these terminates with a flat plate over the board. Under this plate is a two-row pocket connector. Just lift the plate to pull the connector apart.
In the second type, the cable slides into a connector shell and has a locking collar (generally a different color from the shell, either dark brown or black). Carefully slide the collar about 1 mm away from the shell along the cable - it has a lock on each end, and a stop on each end to keep the collar retained in the shell. Try to open it evenly; you don't want to break the hooks off of the collar by tilting it too far out of line. The cable slips right out with no force.
The third type has a latching plate on top of the shell. It's hinged on one side, usually away from where the cable slides in underneath it. Unsnap it on the side away from the hinge. Be very careful not to break the hinge pins. Again, the cable slips right out.
When you assemble the latter two connections, be sure the cable is square and all the way in before locking the connector. Give it a gentle tug to verify that it is locked.
Note: don't touch the contacts on the cable, and handle the circuit boards only by the edges. If there are metal shielding boxes or covers on the board, it's a good idea to touch these when you pick up the board. This will minimize the chance that you will zap the circuitry with static electricity.

Touch screen won't work

Trying to remove the battery sometimes resets any issues. If it's not under warranty one can repair it with the use of micro precision screwdriver kit you can get at the dollar general for about 4 dollars. First I would disassemble it, and try reseating the flex cable that attaches the LCD screen to the main board. There is a plastic lock that holds the cable in, so make sure to lift that up before gently pulling the flex cable out. If pulling it out and putting it back in doesn't make a difference I would look at replacing the flex cable, and lastly the LCD panel. Because you didn't mention anything about cracks, water, or any other LCD damage, my opinion leans towards the flex cable shorting out.

    Touch screen not working

Hi, The problem with your phone is as a result of a bad flex connector cable which connects the touch screen to the panel,it's weak and needs to be replaced.
However, the solution is to take apart the phone and remove the flex cable which is in form of a ribbon situated behind the touch screen and replace it with a newly purchased flex cable.

    Thanks and take care

Just replaced the battery in my Nuvi 660, and now can only get a blank white screen.

Your LCD flex cable (largest one) is not seated correctly in the board connector. What you are seeing is just the backlight lit. Hopefully you didn't damage the LCD locking flap.

With the power off, you need to lift the locking flap up re-insert the LCD flex cable and then lock the flap down.

The latch is fragile, so be careful not to snap it.
