Microwave just started beeping tonight and displaying the message "press 1-4 to select personal settings". when trying to press 1, 2, 3 or 4, not all numbers work (like 1), but they seem to be settings for Language, Lbs or kilos, daylight savings and auto reminder beeps when cooking is completed. i can usually get the beeping to stop by selecting 2, then choosing Lbs but after a few minutes it starts beeping and displaying the message again. i've tried going through and "selecting" and setting all settings, and i've tried powering it off. message goes away for a few minutes then comes back. also seems to come back whenever the door is opened. if it helps at all, a few months ago the microwave started displaying "SE" and we unplugged the unit and cleaned the connections on the keypad to the control board and the message went away. does anyone have any ideas?
The SE indicates a short in the keypad membrane, but to cure this! the whole keypad control board should be changed if effort to resolve is decided, I would also suggest checking the pricing.
