Hi coffee friend I have just answered this question. I think
After you have done all the cleaning you have done, you can try this: do check that all knobs correctly set. That the steam spout is closed. that the water tank sitter correctly
Disconnect from power, wait 2-3minutes connect again and hope for the best.

SOURCE: After using oily coffee beans the machine drops

Hi
The ventilate is just opening the steam valve for just water. Don't push the button for steam. Your grinder needs to be a little coarser. Turn the big know in the bean hopper to a larger #, about 2 to 4
# higher.
You need to clean the brew head in the brew unit.
Holding the handle, the top left side is the brew head. There is an outlet pipe that exits the front, towards the door (looks like an "L" pipe). 2screws hold it to the top. Remove the 2 screws while holding the manifold ("L" pipe assembly). Once they are removed, lift the l assembly off (be careful, there is an O-ring, spring with a black seal (don’t loose it or your out of luck).
Now remove the brew screen, by holding the screen with your finger and twisting the thumbscrew (remember thumbscrew, DON’T use the key to install the screen, use your fingers...
Once the screen is out, look at where the screen was. There are 2 holes. 1 big one in the center and a small one to the side.
With the brew unit upside down over the towel insert a paperclip into the small hole and force anything out the other side. I have gotten worms almost a 1" long from this passage. The paper clip has to go from this side to prevent damage to the seat on the other side.
Clean then reassemble. Brew unit on towel right side up. Then the spring with black seal down.
Now the O-ring over the spring, then place the manifold on top of that with the pipe towards the handle side. Insert your screws (I turn them backwards a little with a little downward pressure until they feel like they drop into the threads. They should turn down easily, if not back them up a little more ( we are trying to find the old threads) and tighten. Install screen, and tighten with your fingers. The screen just needs to be flush with the bottom of the brew head.
Install in machine and test

Our Saeco Vienna Superautomatica sounds like it's grinding beans but keeps running until the red 'bean' light comes on and we have to shut the machine off. Any suggestions?

The grinder is timing out and stops if the beans do not enter the grinder. This happens because:
1- The grinder outlet is clogged and fresh beans cannot pass through the burrs.
2- The grind setting is too fine and helping clogging in the grinding chamber or the ground coffee outlet.
3- Operator may have been using dark roast oily beans. Like it or not, the dark roast oily beans do not make stronger espresso. Please stop using such beans in fully automatic espresso machines.
4- The grinder has already made over 2000 grinds and the burrs are blunted and not grinding beans as needed.
To solve this malfunction, clean the grinder. Make sure the grinder outlet to the doser is cleaned. This outlet passage is about 2 inches or more. To clean it, lay the machine on its back (water tank side) to allow better view of cleaning the doser and the passage of coffee from the grinder to the doser. Use the link below to find instructions for cleaning the grinder and replace the burrs.

How to fix, "no bean light" stays on?

hi there,
have you also cleaned the output of the grinder and the doser?
You have to open it (carefully) by hand, as it is normally closed and only opens when the actuator is switched on, and clean the inside with a soft brush.

After cleaning the grinder, its outlet and the doser, the machine will have to gring at least twice ti fill-in these parts, each time saying that there are no beans. It should be OK with the 2nd our 3rd cycle of grinding.

Hope that helps,
M.

Fill beans

the coffee beans are not entering in the grinder disks and since they rotate without coffee the machine understands that their is no beans. You need to clean the grinder disk and grinding coffee funel to bee sure their nothing blocking the coffee movements. Use a vaccum cleaner and try to clean everything in grinder and grinder exits. Try also the machine by regulating thegriding to more gross coffee and when it will start grinding normal then you can udjust step by step back to grinding position you have at the begeining.

The red light blinks under the coffee bean?

The red light on the front of this machine is simply to let you know that there is some issue with the machine: it could be that the grounds receptacle is full, the machine is out of water, or it doesn't have beans. Please check all three areas. It may be that the receptacle, even if empty, may not be pushed all of the way in. Even if the water reservoir is filled, it may not be properly seated on the valve. If the beans appear to fill the bin, it may be that they are not reaching the grinder for some reason and need to be pushed under the tray which shields the grinder. Finally, once you've check these issues, you will want to open the front door of the machine as if to get to the inside where the grinder is housed and then close the cover door. This will then cause the machine to reset. Note, you don't need to do anything other than just open the front cover from the left side as it swings on a hinge on the right and then close the cover again. You can also turn the machine off and on again to cause the machine to reset. This will take care of your issue of the blinking light, assuming you've corrected one of the three things above that originally caused the issue.

Hi, The machine is trying to grind beans then states that there are no beans, yet the bean holder is full. We have dismantled the holder and cleaned out the grinder block, it worked once or twice then...

IT could be that the grind is too fine and the grinder is being clogged with coffee, first try adjusting to a coarser grind at least 2 to 3 numbers, if coffee flows into the brew unit you are good to go if not, then grind chamber needs to be vac out and cleaned then adjust grind and start over.

My gaggia platinum is showing an out of service error code [1] and i don't know what to do. Called the service centre all i get is "leave a message".

On my machine remove water tank, remove crip / coffee bin, remove mach and wash. Tip machine on its side (turned off) using a small screw driver go around the coffee grinder and clear it completly, you will need a touch. Re assemble. First run with no beans and wait for the fill bean message, fill with beans off you go. Its only happend twice both with cheap beans

Saeco Italia SUP021 YR - Red light #29 on solid

Not clear on "Empty bean container/full grounds drawer) - not empty/not full. " But I gather that coffee is not being dispensed. Most Likely the grinder needs cleaning + brew group needs cleaning ( filter ). Do you get water/steam?
