I have a Brother intellifax 5750e fax machine. It gave us a "change drum soon" message. I changed the drum but the message has persisted for several days. There were instructions with the drum that...

There should be either a [Clear] button or an [Options] button on the machine key panel.
Open the front hatch and press the appropriate button. Follow instructions on the LCD display.

THE FAX MACHINE SAYS CHANGE DRUM SOON WE CHANGED THE DRUM AND NOW NEED TO RESET IT SO THAT IT NO LONGER SAYS CHANGE DRUM SOON

Open the door where the toner cartridge is, and push the clear key and look at the display where it will say reset no press 1 yes press 2. That should do it.

Message reading change drum soon permanently on screen. changed the drum as no printing could be seen, ie paper blank. however, still got the change drum message on the screen. how do i get rid of this?

7 Wait until the time, date and answering mode appear on the display. Then press the SELECT FUNCTION key.

8 Press the 7/COUNTER DISPLAY One-Touch key. The display will show DRUM COUNT.

9 Press

to clear the image drum unit
counter.

10 Press the SELECT FUNCTION key to finish.

How do i reset the message change drum soon on

Press Clear.
8 Press 1 and when the LCD shows ACCEPTED,
and then close the front cover.

With the front door open hit the clear button. It will say new drum? Choose yes and hit the set button. Your all set. Lawrence

Fax Problem

Once you have changed the drum unit on Brother 4100 you will need to keep the front door open and then press the option button. Your dispay should give show you a drum change option. press 1 to change drum and the machine should show "accepted" after a few seconds. Afterwards, close the door.

Continous 'change drum soon' message after I change the drum.

5750e fax machine: To reset the drum counter follow the instructions listed below :
Get the message to appear in the LED
1. Open the front cover.
2. Remove and Re-insert Drum/Toner unit
3. Press the CLEAR key.
4. Press 1 to reset.
5. Close the front cover, pressing firmly on each side until they click
into place.

Change drum soon will not clear after new drum inserted

Reset of the drum counter
Open the front cover.
Press the Options key on the control panel.
The display will show "REPLACE DRUM - 1.YES 2.NO".
Press 1 to reset the drum count.
Close the front cover.

Open the front couver as if you are about to change the drum unit. With the couver still open, press the options button for a while and in the display will apear a message asking if you want to change the drum unit. Choise the yes option and close the front couver. GOOD LUCK.
