We connect the enternet cord but it says check the cord and the cords works on our computers but u hook it to the player and nothing

Either the new BlueRay player is defective, the HDMI port on the player is defective, or the port on your set is defective.
Try connecting it with component RGB/AV cables, or S-Video/AV cables and see if everything works. If so, then you know that it is either the port on the BlueRay, or the port on the TV set.
To test the HDMI port on your TV, you will need another HDMI device to try.

I found item # CP-354S-M/M-ND at Digikey.com for under $7. I have not purchased one yet, but hope this helps. This would only be the audio video portion, but I think the power cable would be easier to find.

If there are red and white RCA jacks on the back of the BR player and on the receiver you should be able to get sound. The same as your VHS.

I am not an expert a "tinkerer"at best but I do have the 3600 like you and I have no problems connecting. Make sure there aren't any spaces or special characters in you router name. Follow your instruction manual and get the 3600 connected first then try netflix: Menu, setup, network, set your settings and it will tell you available networks, choose yours, enter your security code then do a connection test. If its not connecting at what step are you having a problem?
