A couple of things to consider: Do not load the following types of paper in the paper drawer. Doing so may cause a paper jam. - Severely curled or wrinkled paper - Heavyweight paper - Transparencies - Paper on which color images have been copied. - Paper which has been copied on using a digital full color copier (do not copy on the reverse side either). - Paper which has been printed on using a thermal transfer printer (do not copy on the reverse side either).
If a paper jam occurs when using the optional lower tray unit, check for correct installation of the upper paper tray.
Always remove all paper from the paper tray and straighten the
stack when you add new paper. This helps prevent multiple sheets of
paper from feeding through the printer at one time and reduces paper
jams.
If you need any technical help on printer then you can reach at here
If the jam is not evident in the feeder, then you need to open the printer, remove the imaging drum and look straight down to the bottom. This area is called the registration assembly and it is the most likely spot for a jam to occur. If you see any paper there, carefully remove it. Turn the printer off first before reaching in there.
you have worn pickup rollers, as a temporary measure you could take them out and clean them with rubbing alcohol and a fine sandpaper. but idealy replace them.
it could also be a jam that is blocking check the place where feeding is slow and ensure there is no dust or paper fragments in there.
Please check your Printer setup. or options ( I am not familiar with this printer. what terms they use- I'm not sure) Ther will be options for Print in Color or Black. Make sure the radio button for COLOR is checked. This way, black and color both will print in the correct color. So leave it on color even when you want to print in Black. The black radio button is there for a different reason. Hope this will help you. luciana44
does the paper feed at all(1/2 way) no feed,if not pick-up paper most
likely will be feed motor if 1/4,1/2 or 3/4 fed will be sensor at falt
or 2nd tray conectors dirty or making false contact.
Pull out the drum cartridge by it's green handle then look for your paper at the timing roll section-there is a plate you can lift or release to access jams.
other than that the fuser unit on the rear of the mfc can be pulled out by moving two levers.
