Mecha Error is a Mechanical Error. You can try to do a reset on the unit but in most cases this does not fix the issue but is free to try and sometimes can suprisingly fix these issue. This is pretty much going mean that the unit will need serviced as it can mean the laser is mis-aligned or is no longer working or can even mean something in the mechanics of the unit is jamed. You can go to http://www.kenwoodusa.com/support/simple.aspx?men=1&M2=38&M3=78 to look up a service center or call 1-800-kenwood to have them give you a service center to send the unit to.

This is an internal problem with the CD/DVD mechanism that can not be repaired without professional service. You can always try running a cleaning disc thru it, but that is unlikely to help.
This is a very exspensive system and should only be service by qualified service technicians.

Mecha error is a Mechanical Error. This means that this is an actual physical malfunction of the unit. Sometimes pressing the reset button can realign some of the mechanics but most often this is a problem that requires to be serviced.
