Try using the browser Google Chrome, it has flash built in and it is a bit faster.
If this doesn't work, you'll have to kill some programs to get more processing power. Press and hold the command key, and then tap tab while still holding command to cycle through your running programs. Let go to stop on one you kill, and then press Command + q to kill it. Do this with as many programs as you can to get better performance, you can always start them up again later.
If none of this works, you may need to upgrade your graphics card...sorry.

SOURCE: Apple PowerMac G5 Mac Desktop

Yes, that is a major factor. Because the files arent actually kept on the desktop, so when you boot it, the machine has to" remember" where that content is actually stored. You should also defrag the hard drive with DISK UTILTIY.

MAIN DRIVE/APPLICATIONS/UTILITIES/DISK UTILITY

You can also check the space left on the drive. It should state at the bottom of the window when that volume is selected. Or you can also click on it once and hit the apple and "I" key..

APPLE+ I also know as "get info" from the top file menu. If you do a considerable amount of downloading, or if you have a massive itunes folder and you are saving that to your internal drive and not an external, you operating system has to weed through all that information. If youre getting spinning beach balll as well, I'd recommend install more RAM modules.

Hope this helps, keep me posted.

SOURCE: Video ram error 2ATI/1/4:113-A14404-118

This one is pretty clear. Your machine is a June, 2004 model. Your video RAM is bad. Video RAM is not user-replaceable on the Radeon 9800 XT, so you will have to replace the Radeon card itself.

SOURCE: PowerMac G5 with dual 2.7 processors powers on but no video

There are seven diagnostic LEDs near the memory banks of this model: six in a tight line between the edge of the logic board and DIMM bank 1, and the seventh just underneath DIMM bank 1 and slightly more inboard. Please tell me which of these LEDs are on and I will tell you what they mean.

How to speed up the video on a PowerMac7,3

Unfortunately, the age of your Mac and the max OS you can run is seriously inhibiting your video watching, even with the baddest video card you can get with that model. You can try downsampling videos in YouTube by changing the resolution from 1080 or 780 to 480 or 360. You may want to seriously consider upgrading.
