I am not familiar with this particular model but the majority of Clarion Radios require special flat Clarion Extractor Keys.

Just bought one from ebay.

I have a factory Clarion Brain unit for the Clarion VRX935VD after my head unit/monitor was stolen from my car 2 years ago. It's been sitting in a drawer in my room on good working order, still have the wiring harness too, although 2 wires have been cut from where they cut it. Interested give me a call 1-234-567-1724 i live in Ohio. I will sell as i have NO USE for it whatsoever and haven't for years, just too lazy to put it up on ebay or anything like that.

what model is this? the very first thing i would do is make very sure you dont have a speaker wire shorting out on metal/rubbing/2 wires touchung togther somewhere. this is very bad. If this is a vrx935 id also try wiggling the "din" cord (its a blue cord with about 20 wires inside) between the brain and thwe head unit with the cd playing.. if the audio cuts in/out while wiggling that cord youve found your problem. If you cant figure it out and get sick of it i do buy old clarion dvd players for parts id love it for parts. let me know how it goes! mike [email protected]
