System Intermittently shuts off. hard to get started. Power button has to be pressed repeatedly. some times server starts then shuts right off. Unplug power, Re plug, hit power many times then starts and run for a week or a day

In HP prolliant server sets, setup also logs system events. This error is due to that log. Enter setup, trace log and clear all events.

Try safe mode boot, hit F8 or F5 fast in beginning of boot process. You may have to try this a few times to get timing just right.

Hi,
Please verify if your server power specs support 110 or 220 V. If you are in the US, eventhough you might have connected a 220V cable the line voltage can be 110.
Check with your power company if they can provide you the necessary wattage of the server.(Specs are printed on the power supply. you can read it from HP web also)
Once you are sure that, connect both power suppllies and try booting.
If the error still occurs, it can be a power supply failure or some other hardware failure.

ProLiant ML150 G6 and DL160 G6 (HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID) does not support more than 4GB memory, (2GBX2 modules) or more added, it works fine with single 2GB module. Boot OS with single module and upgrade system Rompack to the latest version then upgrade B110i controller driver to 6.8.0.32. Shut down the server, add additional modules. It will work fine.
