I have an Akai TV with model #CTS2550 made in 2002. The television is stuck on a "Store" viewing option. The volume menu only displays Auto Volume and Demonstration has replaced V-chip. Able to change the channels and picture is fine but there is no sound. When channels are changed there is a popping sound that follows. The noise seems to come from the speakers. How do I get my television back to normal set-up for normal viewing? Thanks!
SOURCE: Switch from AV to regular TV viewing
You try pressing the AV button on the side, sequentially until it changes back to a Channel Number. It should cycle through AV1, AV2, RGB, etc
SOURCE: v-chip code
Try a code of 000 or 0000, unless the previous owner has changed the code to something else the ones I have seen were all zero's for the access code.
SOURCE: volume
confirm that volume contro plus (+) button does not stuck inside.
try to apply good contact cleaner in volme button and press it many times until it released.
SOURCE: Akai TV - Stuck in Hotel Mode
M (menu) 7935 (regular menu appears), them press
4725 (menu service appears), then search HTLSRC (position 090), then
set value 032 (this value disables Hotel Mode) - TV. Now Hotel Mode is
deactivated. It is verified!
M 7935 4725, go to HTLSRC (090), fix 032 - press TV. Good luck!
