Need to install driver for htc touch in my computer

You need to first install activesync, this will then install the USB drivers for XP. Once this is done, then connect your device and your PC should see your mobile.
If you still having problems, trying removing the unknown device from Device Manager.
1. Click start 2. Right click on My Computer 3. Go to Properties 4. Go to Device Manager 5. Check for a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark 6. Remove this device 7. Follow instructions above

You can connect it with the cable and the cellphone will get charged up.

You can also download ActiveSync from the Internet and install it. Then when you connect the cellphone to the computer, you can exchange files between the computer and the phone by using the Mobile Device icon that appears in you "My Computer".

You can also share your cellphone's internet connection with the computer.

All these can be done without the CD driver.

Just visit this HTC Eris Software Downlaod page : http://www.htc.com/us/support/droid-eris-verizon/downloads/, download the software and run it. The drivers will be automatically installed along with the software.

Drivers are included with the microsoft software you use to sync eg.
Windows Mobile Device Centre. WMDC.
Or
Microsoft active sync.

Although Microsoft seem to be having issues with the connection of HTC's to their software and their help department doesn't appear to be much help.

If you already have the software installed. Try uninstalling and downloading fresh copies and re-install.
Also make sure you clear your partnerships in your phone as HTC only allow 2 sync partnerships.

First of all you need to install the Microsoft ActiveSync (for windows XP) or WIndows Mobile Device Center (for Windows Vista) After that open the Internet Sharing, select USB and click on Connect. Now connect your USB cable to the Laptop, it shall install the drivers automatically, wait for a few minutes and after that you can use the Internet on the laptop via your phone.

if your wanting to install phone so it will sync with your computer then download WMDC from the Microsoft website and that will set up your sync settings and depending on your operating system you might need drivers

if you run vista it will not recognise the drivers, you will need to download an update from HTC or from your mobile operator.
faling that check microsoft vista website for mobile device software- vista does not use active sync

You need to install Microsoft Activesync, you can download it from Microsoft website or install it from the disk that came along with the phone.
