After turning the dehumidifier on, it runs a couple of minutes then shuts off. The filter is clean and I had a hose connected to the dehumidifier.

I would try to find an outlet on another circuit to see if maybe the problem is definately your dehumidifier, if it trips again then you know it is...If not then call an electrician..

You can test it out by disconnecting the power cord, wait five minutes and plug it back in. If it retains the original settings you are good to go. If you are wondering before purchasing a new unit ask before you buy.

Hello Sandy,
On mine, the filter is in the front. Behind the grill. To remove it, you have to remove the bucket first. Then you can see two tabs sticking down that say "Filter Front". You can reach your fingers up & behind it, grab the lip, and pull straight down. For me it requires more force than expected. With the filter out, put the bucket back in and turn it on. Make sure that there is air blowing out the back to verify that the fan still works. I hope this helps.

It looks like it is simple to get the filter out but we are finding it to be imposible. How can we take it out. It doesn't just pull down.

Hello Jackie Grier, I appreciate your post!
I understand that the filter reset button is not working on your Frigidaire dehumidifier. I would perform a reset to your dehumidifier which can be done by disconnecting power from it for roughly ten minutes, you can do that can be done by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker.
If that does not correct the issue it sounds like a possible problem with your control panel or sensor. Are you under warranty? If so I would reach out to your manufacture to see if they have any potential remedy for assistance. I hope this helps. -Matt
