Well the cover locks in place and holds the juice bowl down. The clutch nut secures the blade and basket. Either part can be obtained from Waring at 1 800 492 7464.
Believe the basket is the same. The newer lids have a flange around them which can be filed down. Takes time, but file away tapering it until it fits in the juice bowl. With a new lid you may have to adjust the chute to blade gap. On bottom loosen center locking nut and turn adjusting screw clockwise until chute contacts blade, then back it off a half turn and lock it down. A few older lids are around, but it's hit and miss.
Juice bowl first, then the basket followed by the shredder blade which is all held down by the white clutch nut. If you're missing the nut ctc. Waring at 1 800 492 7464 for a new one.
Are you talking about the clutch nut that screws down on the basket and blade, or the small clips that the cover rotates and snaps into. Either way call Waring at 1 800 492 7464, they should have the part.
I bought the juicer at a second-hand store in brand new condition however the crescent tool was missing. To remove the flat blade for cleaning, I use a pair of scissors spread far enough to fit the ends in both holes. Hold the basket still while turning the scissors counter-clockwise untill the flat blade detaches. Easy as that! I ordered the tool, but it hasn't arrived yet. Hope this helps!
Take off the top part of the juicer that has the chute. You will see the blade and basket. The blade appears to be attached to the basket with three small screws but is actually screwed onto the basket by a large screw that protrudes out of the basket underneath the blade. So the trick is to unscrew the blade, turning it to the left by using maybe a small screwdriver that you will have to put into one of the two small holes that are on the blade surface and pushing the blade to the left. This should loosen the blade and then you can just unscrew the blade off the basket. Once you get that blade off, the rest of the juicer comes apart. The newer models come with a little tool with a couple of arms that go down into those holes and loosen the top. Good luck.
After about a half hour I finally figured it out. I'll go through all the steps.
1. Remove pusher from chute.
2. Pull the locking bar down over the spout.
3. Remove lid.
4. This part is tricky. Stick the orange crescent tool into the blade holes and while holding the filter basket steady with one hand, turn the blade couterclockwise while pulling up.You do have put a little muscle into it. And remember, if you don't hold the filter steady, the whole damn thing just spins.
5. Remove the receptacle.
Good juicer, but it seems unnecessarily complicated.
