My washer is just over a year old. I washed a load today with no problem. I started the 2nd load and went to the store. Came home, the door locked light was on. I was able to open the door, clothes are completly dry. Laundry soap is leaking out of the front of the door. I unplugged the washer, took the front panel off and cleaned the lint filter. I plugged it back in and now it will not turn on at all...

I have the same problem and assume it is the door lock. A replacement from partselect.com ps1021459 is $110 so I am removing and checking the old one first.
I too have the same problem, however I have not had an issue with leaking detergent. The Door Locked light remains illuminated when door is open and when closed. No cycles will run with this issue. We purchased the machine in Dec. of 07. It seems to me this may be a common issue with these washers after a few years. Now the question is, how do I fix it?
I have the same problem. Washed clothes earlier and no problem. Now light is on saying door is locked and it was not. It would not do anything. Now the door will not shut.
I too have the same problem as g_milk with our WBVH 5100. Door lock light is on, door will open. No action. Any solutions?
I am having the same problem with our GE front loader. It at first was not doing too bad. It would reset after a couple of hrs, then it wouldn't reset for a FEW hrs then now its taking days for the door locked readout to go off so I can do another load.
Has the door lock assembly helped anyone with this problem when replaced? My husband is going to look into that tomorrow. I am hoping that this will fix it.
We have only had this washer for 2 or 3 yrs and I can't believe its breaking down on us this quickly.
Mine is doing the same thing. Ours is about 1.5 year old. The lock on the door stays locked for about 30min-1hr, before it lets me back in. REAL PAIN. On top of that, now mine is not going through the rinse cycle *or* spin cycle. I will manually put it on the "rinse and spin" cycle after the actual cycle is done, but it still doesn't help. My clothes are SOPPING wet after a cycle and it's been a REAL pain. There are 7 of us in this family, so if you can imagine, my laundry is piling! Sounds like a defect if you ask me.
